Residential
For private clients:
We take on all scales of project, from small extensions, domestic
remodelling projects to large individual dwellings. We tailor our
service to your needs, whether you are looking at a self-build project
or the traditional builder approach - where we can help in drawing up
tender documentation and supervision on site.
The basic service provides advice on your brief and the possibilities
of your site, a survey of your building, initial sketch and final
proposals, making your planning application and, following receipt of
that approval, preparing the detailed drawings and construction notes
necessary to make a building regulations application and to obtain
prices for the work.
For projects where an NHBC Registered contractor is not engaged, we
will inspect during construction and issue stage inspection
certificates.
We have particular experience working in conservation areas and in
dealing with many of the issues so problematic in the Fens, not least
flood risk - where we work in partnership with specialist engineers.
The conversion of redundant farm buildings to dwellings - particularly
those valuable to the country landscape, but long past meeting the
needs of modern agriculture - can be possible and we can assist
overcoming the common planning objections to creating new dwellings in
the countryside.
In recent years there has been increasing emphasis on eco-friendly design and services, but tempered with a realistic approach.
For developer clients:
We cover the same range of projects, plus the design of multi-dwelling
sites, apartments and mixed-use commercial/residential projects.
We can help you develop the project brief with your clients.
We aim for our new developments to sit comfortably in their
surroundings and for extensions to be a good fit with the existing
building.
We can provide an estate road and landscape design service.
We can advise on CDM issues.
