An architectural service extends beyond the preparation of the design of a building, obtaining the necessary permissions, tenders and supervising the work on site.   We can provide assistance in the following areas, or work with others where specialist expertise is required:

Health and Safety advice, particularly acting as CDM Co-ordinator under the Construction Design & Management Regulations [this is required on most projects, other than private residential work or very small commercial work].  We frequently work with specialists on larger projects.

The preparation of Flood Risk Assessments, though specialist engineering advice may be required in some high-risk areas.

Organising specialist reports on wildlife, trees or historic buildings.

Landscaping schemes

Working, not as the lead professional, but providing design input to engineering projects.

Liaison with engineers, surveyors, thermal performance consultants and other building professionals.

Providing stage inspections and certificates to new house building projects, a service particularly aimed at self-build projects and small builder/developers.
